Collection: Sideboards

Shop original midcentury sideboards and credenzas, around half of them teak and most from the 1960s, when the long low sideboard became the centrepiece of the British living room. Walnut, rosewood and oak make up the rest.

G Plan comes up most often, along with Archie Shine, Alfred Cox and Morris of Glasgow. Prices run from about £265 for a compact unit up to £4,650 for a designer piece with real provenance, and a typical sideboard sits near £715.

These run longer than modern furniture, often 150cm to 200cm, so it is worth measuring your alcove before you fall for one. Every sideboard is a genuine one-off, sourced personally, and we are always happy to send extra photos or measurements.

Furniture delivery is £70 flat anywhere in the UK, and collection from West Yorkshire is very welcome.
