A striking 1960s teak bureau bookcase by A Younger, combining open display shelving, a concealed writing desk and lower cupboard storage in a compact footprint. The asymmetric upper section gives it a strongly architectural British mid-century appearance.

The fall front opens to create a generous writing or laptop surface with storage compartments behind. At only 93 cm wide and 39 cm deep when closed, it is particularly practical for a London flat or smaller home where a permanent desk would occupy too much floor space.
