An antique illustrated copy of The Early Work of Raphael by Julia Cartwright (Mrs Henry Ady), published by Seeley & Co. Limited, London.

The volume has decorative red cloth binding with gilt lettering and an ornate gilt cherub and cartouche design. Inside are black-and-white reproductions of Raphael’s works alongside scholarly text discussing his early career and artistic development. A handwritten inscription dated December 1906 adds period provenance.
