abstract oil painting, likely by Dorothy Hamer. The painting features a mix of bold, textured brushstrokes and vibrant colors, predominantly reds, blues, greens, and yellows. The composition includes overlapping circular and curvilinear shapes, creating a sense of depth and movement. It is reminiscent of mid-20th-century abstract expressionism or possibly surrealism, with its non-representational forms and emphasis on color and texture. Dorothy Hamer is known for her abstract works, often incorporating printmaking techniques, as seen in her 1993 monoprint "House of Spirits". The painting in the image does not have a discernible subject, which is characteristic of abstract art, where the focus is on the interplay of form and color rather than depicting recognizable objects
