A charming mid-century teak telephone bench by British furniture manufacturer Chippy Heath, featuring a beautifully simple design combining practical storage with comfortable seating.

Dating to approximately the 1960s–1970s, this vintage telephone seat features a warm teak frame, an upholstered brown vinyl seat and an integrated storage unit.

The right-hand cabinet incorporates a useful drawer, an open storage compartment beneath and a raised wooden surface, originally designed to accommodate a telephone.

The generously proportioned seat is upholstered in dark brown vinyl, providing an attractive contrast against the rich tones of the teak.

Supported by four straight wooden legs, the bench has a distinctly minimalist appearance, characteristic of practical British mid-century furniture.

Measuring just 84 cm wide and 36 cm deep, this compact piece is particularly well suited to narrow hallways, entranceways and smaller London apartments.

A versatile piece of vintage furniture that works equally well as a hallway bench, telephone table or occasional seat with integrated storage.
