A striking example of mid century E Gomme, G plan dining furniture. Dated 1959 the elegant combination of black, gold and dark wood encapsulates the signature style typical of 1950's MCM design.
The dark wood top is supported by 8 slender black legs capped with gold adjustable feet bringing the design a sense of weightless strength - it is a table that seems to tiptoe; like a spider waiting to pounce!
The table is a compact table is a compact 46cm deep with leaves down, opening out to 110 cm with both leaves extended.
