Mid Century Triangular Oak Side Table

A distinctive mid-century modern triangular side table, featuring a beautifully shaped oak tabletop supported by three elegantly tapered wooden legs.

Dating stylistically to the 1950s–1960s, this unusual piece captures the playful geometric forms and understated craftsmanship associated with post-war modernist furniture design.

The striking triangular tabletop features softly rounded corners and attractive natural oak grain, with warm golden-brown colouring and subtle variations in tone.

Its three tapered legs are positioned beneath the corners of the tabletop, creating a balanced, lightweight appearance while complementing the table’s unusual geometric form.

The simplicity of the construction, combined with the organic warmth of the timber, gives the piece a distinctly Scandinavian-influenced aesthetic.

The triangular design makes this an especially versatile piece of vintage furniture. It could be positioned alongside a sofa as an occasional table, used as a compact coffee table or placed in a corner as a decorative display table.

Its unusual proportions also make it particularly suitable for smaller living spaces, where a conventional rectangular coffee table might feel too imposing.

An attractive example of mid-century modern furniture, combining sculptural design, natural materials and practical everyday functionality.
