A stylish mid-century modern extending dining table, combining a crisp white Formica top with a contrasting dark stained timber frame. The simple lines, tapered legs and practical extending design give the table a strong 1960s/1970s Scandinavian modernist influence.

The table incorporates a clever draw-leaf extension system, with additional leaves pulling out from either end to significantly increase the overall dining surface. When closed, its relatively compact proportions make it particularly practical for everyday dining, apartments and smaller spaces, while fully extended it provides a generous 190 cm long surface suitable for larger gatherings.

The white Formica top is both practical and characteristic of the period, contrasting beautifully against the darker timber base and giving the table a clean, understated vintage appearance.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use consistent with its age.

The white Formica top presents well overall, retaining its clean appearance with minor surface marks and signs of previous use. The dark stained timber frame and legs show some expected age-related wear, adding to the table’s vintage character without detracting from its overall appearance.

The draw-leaf extension mechanism operates as intended, allowing the table to transition easily between its compact and fully extended configurations. The table remains solid, sturdy and ready for continued everyday use.
