An exceptional and unusually substantial 1950s coffee table by E. Gomme for G Plan, retaining its original labels.

The 150 cm rectangular top has a dramatic dark stone surface with pink and pale veining, framed in timber with fine metal inlay. Twin pedestal ends each incorporate a drawer accessible from either side, while slim brass handles and ferrules give the table a particularly luxurious early G Plan character.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with light wear and patina. The stone top presents particularly well with very little visible scratching; the timber has minor surface marks and the brass fittings remain attractive. Structurally solid and ready for use.
