A classic set of four Robin Day polypropylene chairs for Hille, one of the most iconic and influential designs of British mid-century furniture.

Originally introduced in 1963, Robin Day’s polypropylene chair was the first mass-produced plastic chair in the world. Designed for practicality and durability, the moulded seat features the distinctive circular ventilation holes, giving the design both its recognisable look and lightweight functionality.

These examples feature blue moulded polypropylene shells paired with black metal legs, creating a bold yet minimalist aesthetic that fits perfectly into mid-century modern, contemporary, or industrial interiors.

Timeless and highly collectible, they work beautifully as dining chairs, studio seating, café chairs, or statement design pieces.
