A decorative vintage set of 1980s lacquered placemats, finished in glossy black with detailed East Asian-inspired landscape scenes.

Each mat features stylised mountains, trees, pagodas, bridges and waterside buildings in warm gold, ochre, red, green and white tones, framed by an ornate geometric and floral border. The cork-backed undersides make the set practical for table use.
