A superb 1990s IKEA Stockholm coffee table featuring a beautifully arranged oak parquetry top and a clean, understated Scandinavian profile.

The large square top is the standout feature, with quarter-matched oak veneers arranged into a striking geometric pattern that draws towards the centre. A gently raised solid timber edge frames the surface, while four slender tapered legs give the substantial 90 cm square table a surprisingly light appearance.

Beneath is a generous full-width lower shelf, providing useful storage for books, magazines and decorative pieces without disrupting the simple lines of the design. Part of IKEA’s higher-quality Stockholm range, this is an excellent example of the increasingly collectible earlier IKEA designs of the late twentieth century.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related signs of use. There are surface marks, scratches and wear around the edges and corners, visible in the photographs, but the table retains a very attractive overall appearance and the parquetry remains particularly striking.
