A characterful vintage industrial workbench or utility table combining a thick pine plank top with a substantial cast iron base.

The solid timber top has a wonderfully worn surface, with visible grain, knots, marks and signs of previous use that give the piece plenty of character. Below, the heavy cast iron frame has been painted in green with contrasting blue and pale blue stretchers, creating a colourful workshop-inspired look.

A particularly nice detail is the metal hanging rail with hooks fitted to one end, adding to its original utilitarian feel and making it practical for hanging tools, utensils or accessories.

This would work brilliantly as a small kitchen island, preparation table, workshop table, shop display table or statement console, particularly in an industrial or eclectic interior.

Condition

Good vintage condition with considerable character and wear consistent with its former working life.

The pine top shows scratches, marks, staining, knots and general surface wear. The painted metal base also has areas of paint loss, marks and age-related wear. These features form part of the industrial appearance of the piece rather than detracting from it.
