If Batman had a writing desk in 1932, we’re fairly certain this would have been sitting on it.

This wonderfully over-the-top Art Deco desk set is all sharp lines, dramatic rosewood grain, and gleaming chrome details — the kind of piece that instantly makes a desk look infinitely more important. Even if you’re just answering emails and avoiding spreadsheets.

At the centre sits a raised lidded compartment with a satisfyingly chunky chrome handle, flanked by matching side storage boxes with polished metal lids and elegant articulated chrome detailing. To the front are two original glass inkwells, neatly positioned beside integrated pen rests ready for your fanciest fountain pen (or your most chewed biro — we don’t judge).

The rosewood veneer is absolutely gorgeous in person, with those swirling chocolate and espresso tones that Art Deco designers seemed to master so effortlessly. It has that perfect balance of luxury and geometry that makes 1930s design feel both glamorous and oddly futuristic at the same time.

It’s practical, sculptural, and just unapologetically cool.

Condition
