A striking antique Chinese four-panel folding room divider, combining black lacquered timber frames with warm gold-toned inset panels.

Standing 177 cm tall and extending to approximately 212 cm wide, the screen has substantial presence while its articulated four-panel construction allows a variety of configurations. Each 53 cm-wide panel is divided into two recessed sections, creating a simple architectural appearance. Metal hinges allow the panels to fold substantially flat for easier storage or transport.
